I’ve seen multiple people sharing the article about Facebook eliminating fake news by utilizing blockchain. Oh, the irony!

Facebook has botched being a custodian of personal information time and time again. Even if they do figure out a way around KYC and AML restrictions for their token, there will still be some amount of personal information that they will need to store. As much as they can say this information will be stored on the blockchain, history has shown, by their own actions, that it will be backed up on the cloud, servers, or some mixture of AWS with other options. All exponentially more corruptible than blockchain storage.

Secondly, the content distributed via blockchain is only as good as the creator. This fact alone completely negates the claim that “fake news” will be curtailed or eliminated.
